A Kosciusko County hotel is adding a new way to pay for stays that is truly embracing the digital age. Starting January 1, the Brooke Pointe Inn in Syracuse will accept BitCoins as payment.
BitCoin is a decentralized form of digital currency that allows direct payment without a middleman.
“We believe the best way to help BitCoin become a major player is to not speculate in the currency but to accept the coins and show others that it is real,” said Brook Pointe owner Ben Plikerd.
It will cost .10 BitCoin per night to stay at the hotel. You can book a stay on their website, www.brookepointeinn.com. More information about BitCoins can be found at www.bitcoins.org.
