On Monday, the free speech video platform Rumble (RUM) announced its first Bitcoin buy, less than two months after revealing a treasury strategy. While the amount of BTC the company acquired remains unclear, the company's board approved up to $20 million for the strategy in November. While this is the company's first BTC buy, it isn't its first interaction with crypto. In December, Tether announced it would invest $775 million in the company.
4. ETFs Filed For DOGE, TRUMP, BONK & More
According to Bloomberg’s ETF Analyst James Seyffart, Fund Providers REX Shares and Osprey Funds have already begun filing prospectuses to create ETFs for SOL, XRP, and a handful of new memecoins.

3. Trump’s Day 1 Crypto Promises Are Due
Trump might be “the first Pro-Bitcoin President,” but you wouldn’t know that from his inauguration address. And while expecting him to mention Bitcoin in that context was a pipe dream, the crypto community hasn’t forgotten what he promised them – namely, creating a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, freeing Ross Ulbricht, and repealing SAB 121. We’re watching.
2. Circle Acquires Hashnote
Stablecoin issuer Circle has acquired Hashnote, the issuer of the world’s largest Tokenized Money Market Fund (USYC). Circle also announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership with global trading firm DRW and plans to launch USDC on the Canton blockchain network. In one day, Circle has deepened its reach into both DeFi and TradFi. IPO 2025 looks more and more likely by the day.

The Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has launched a bare-bones website that contains just 18 words… and because why not… a Dogecoin meme. DOGE, as expected, jumped ~14% following the website’s launch.
