Cost to Mine by Machine Type

Here’s an updated version of one of our favorite charts: Cost to Mine 1 Bitcoin.

This machine measures the BTC “Breakeven” price of different Bitcoin miners based on an electricity rate of $0.078/kWh. Another way to think about it is that these lines represent the price that miners are ‘dollar cost averaging’ at.

The Bitcoin price is gradually rising while the cost for miners is moving sideways. The Antminer S21 Pro & S21 XP have a BTC breakeven price in the low $40,000’s.
