NEWS ROUNDUP
AI16Z's Upcoming Restructuring
ai16z captured headlines this week with details of a token overhaul, speculation about a new launchpad in Q1, and its Eliza framework continuing to achieve massive traction on GitHub:
Eliza smashed past 7,700 GitHub stars, showing massive developer momentum for agent-based applications. The framework’s TypeScript architecture and cross-chain support are drawing in AI/ML and crypto devs alike.
If developed, AI16z’s Q1 2025 launchpad could capture launch fees, require AI16Z staking for access, and pair liquidity pools with AI16Z — laying the groundwork for major value capture and a “go-to” hub for AI agent projects.
A tokenomics overhaul is in the works, featuring potential buyback-and-burn mechanics, plus a treasury strategy diversifying into major L1 tokens, stablecoins, and select project tokens for liquidity support.
The DAO aims to steer governance, but the core team retains significant influence. Phase 2 will focus on ecosystem growth, incentivizing developers to build swarms and multi-chain integrations on Eliza through direct grants and fee-sharing programs.
AI16z is also eyeing a Layer 1 blockchain specifically tailored for AI, positioning Eliza as the leading platform for agent-centric ecosystems while further tying AI16Z to agent-to-agent transactions.
Season 2: Methamorphosis is now live on mETH Protocol, following the launch of their governance token, COOK, and cmETH, the liquid restaked version of mETH. With cmETH, holders can enjoy yields across multiple restaking protocols like Karak, EigenLayer, Symbiotic, while earning Powder for more COOK.
Corporate Audit AI is more than just a Q&A chatbot that gives financial advice. It's able to parse through millions of data points ranging from 10-Ks, earnings calls, satellite imaging, and more!
Corporate Audit AI aims to redefine what a financial analyst is by leveraging advanced LLMs and algorithms to go through SEC filings and pull out information that a human would miss. While fund managers can have the “final say” on what should and shouldn’t be invested in, Corporate Audit AI does all the heavy lifting for the analysis, helping them make the most informed decision on public information.
The team behind Corporate Audit AI has also thought of some other use cases for the early AI agent, such as running its own ETF. The AI agent will be able to rebalance the ETF in real time whenever news comes out about a stock, and it can balance both fundamental and behavioral data, such as revenue growth from a company and the tone of a CEO during an earnings call.
