While Bitcoin and Solana have continued to push to new all-time high marks, Ethereum has arguably stagnated, losing its one-time DeFi dominance while its price failed to approach the 2021 peak.
With the Ethereum Foundation vowing changesāincluding putting funds into DeFi protocols and a potential leadership shakeupāco-founder Vitalik Buterin has undergone a vibe shift on X (formerly Twitter), adopting a controversial Milady NFT, posting bizarre memes, and taking on Ethereumās critics.
Amid the degen-like shift, Buterin shared a lengthy post on Friday digging into some of the biggest concerns around Ethereum, including layer-2 networks stealing value away from mainnet and the apparent price impact. Heās urging builders to largely stay the course, but proposed some L2 shifts that might balance out the scaling woes.
