While Bitcoin ETF inflows have topped $3 billion over the past five trading days, gold ETFs have seen outflows of $1 billion—creating a $4 billion gap between them.
Standard Chartered analysts told Decrypt that Bitcoin functioning as “a better hedge than gold against strategic asset reallocation out of the U.S.,” with tentative improvements in President Trump’s trade war softening interest in gold.
The bank has taken a bullish stance on Bitcoin, arguing that the cryptocurrency is on track to hit a record price this quarter and $200,000 by the end of the year.
