Stock markets have taken another huge hit Friday as China announced retaliatory tariffs against the U.S.—after President Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariff barrage ratcheted up his brewing trade war. The Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq are each down more than 4% on the day, with the Nasdaq currently set to close the day in bear market territory.
But Bitcoin “has shown impressive resilience,” 21Shares Crypto Investment Specialist David Hernandez told Decrypt.
Indeed, while crypto assets fell Thursday alongside stocks, top coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin are all in the green over the last 24 hours. And Bitcoin is nearly even over the last week too, down by only 0.3% as of this writing as the top asset weathers the intense volatility.
