More than a quarter of Bitcoin investments are now “underwater,” with investors’ BTC holdings worth less than they were bought for.
Amid continuing market chaos sparked by U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs, Bitcoin has slipped around 30% from its all-time high following his inauguration, while more than $1.2 trillion in value has been wiped from the crypto market in what one analyst called a “very emotional journey.”
As the market turbulence mounted, investors pulled more than $326 million from spot Bitcoin ETFs and $3.3 million from spot Ethereum ETFs Tuesday. Despite the sea of red, some remained optimistic, with bank Standard Chartered predicting that XRP could rise by as much as 200% this year.
