Dogecoin is barking its way up the charts again Saturday, rising 11% over the past day and pushing its seven-day gain to 27%, as of this writing. The top meme coin touched its highest price in two months this morning—and it’s not even the biggest gainer this week among top coins.
That honor goes to Ethereum, which is up a whopping 33% over the last seven days. Analysts told Decrypt that it’s due in part to this week’s successful Pectra upgrade, some pent-up excitement over the chain’s future, and broader market interest as traders pivot back towards risk assets.
Bitcoin could almost get lost in that excitement, given a relatively modest 7% gain on the week—except that BTC reclaimed $100K earlier this week and now is just 5% away from its all-time high price from January. Comparatively small BTC movements may be fueling more explosive gains elsewhere in the market.
