Sam Bankman-Fried has broken his silence. The founder of FTX has claimed that a former employee could be responsible for a $650 million “hack” that occurred on the night of the collapsed crypto exchange’s bankruptcy filing. Bankman-Fried also revealed that as well as bankrolling Democratic candidates in the midterms, he’d donated undisclosed “dark money” to Republican political candidates, claiming that he wanted to avoid having reporters “freak out.”
